Penile Prosthetics

When non-surgical ED treatments fail or are not well tolerated, penile implants remain an excellent option to restore the ability to have sexual intercourse. Done as an outpatient procedure, the device is place in the operating room through a single opening. Once cleared for use by the physician, the device is able to be inflated to create a fully rigid, natural looking erection. When deflated, the device is totally concealed within the body providing a natural-looking, flaccid penis.

Artificial Urinary Sphincters

Artificial Urinary Sphincters (AUS) The AMS 800® Urinary Control System is a device known as an artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) that is placed completely inside the patient's body to provide simple, discreet urinary control. The patient controls urination by squeezing and releasing a pump that is placed in the scrotum. The AUS mimics a healthy sphincter in that it keeps the urethra closed until you want to urinate. When you need to urinate, you release the pressure on the urethra by simply squeezing and releasing the pump so that urine can flow. Minutes after the bladder is empty, the urethra is squeezed closed again and returning urinary continence.
